Asus has recently launched its newest model Eee PC 900 that is pack with a new range of hardware that features an 8.9-inch widescreen, a 1.3 pixels webcam, the FingerGlide, which is a new innovation, and 12GB and 20GB storage capacities for Windows and Linux platforms.

The Eee PC 900 is designed to cater the growing consumer needs of a netbook that maintains the “easy to learn, work and play” concept. This also features the same built-in Solid State Disk (SSD) technology the previous models use. The SSD is design to maintain a quiet, energy-efficient, and shockproof quality to the netbook. Compared to the traditional hard disks spin at 5400 RPM which makes it more susceptible to data loss or damage, the Eee PC exploits the many advantages of SSD technology.

The Eee PC 900 is designed to cater for children and women as this netbook is highly-portable and handy—only weighing below 1 kg. This boasts a large screen size of 8.9 with an impressive resolution of 1024 x 600, the Eee PC 900 allows users to view a single A4 page without the need to scroll left or right, making it easier and more convenient to read word documents.

Another remarkable feature of this netbook is FingerGlide which makes operating Eee PC easy and convenient, with just two simple finger movements on the touchpad, users will be able to zoom in and out of pictures, or scroll up and down for easier document viewing.

This also comes with a 1.3M Pixel webcam that provides wireless Internet connection for web conferences and easier communication which can result to increased work efficiency.

To suit different user preference, the Eee PC 900 comes in Microsoft Windows and Linux versions. Microsoft Windows versions allow users to easily utilize Windows Interface, and incorporating Windows Live features like Windows Live Messenger for instant messaging.

Meanwhile, Linux version is much preferred by users who want icon-driven and easy point-and-click interface. Well-suited for people with limited computer skills, it provides a fast boot-up time that makes this ideal for fast Internet access.
