Klausner Technologies has gained new strength from its lawsuits against AT&T, eBay and Apple and after some court rulings in their favor, they are now taking on two bigger giants Verizon and Google. According to Klausner Technologies some of the tech in visual voicemail infringes on their patents.

Brazilian charged in botnet spam

Leni de Abreu Neto, a 35-year-old from Taubate, Brazil is being charged with allegedly operating a botnet that involved over 100k computers. According to federal grand juries he is responsible for conspiracy for trying to spam the U.S Department of Justice with spam. If convicted he can face up to 5 years in prison, $250,000 fine and 3 years of supervision.

Ever heard of the site Mygazines? Most people haven’t. But anyway’s the site allows you to read full issues of scanned copies of popular magazines such as Oprah, Teen People, Motertrend etc. As to how those publishers are going to get a company that is not even registered in the US for copyright infringement is not beyond me. But you are welcomed to take a peek at the site (for research purposes only) so that means no Playboy… that’s if they carry that magazine (I wouldn’t know… seriously).

Microsoft takes another hit from the big G

Microsoft has been having a few minor problems lately (mostly from bad press) but this one does not speak of the media but actual viewers or in this case surfers. Microsoft’s traffic fell 700K in July while Google was up a full million. Yahoo also saw increase in traffic adding 4 million viewers (who said they were not doing business).
