Court halts RealDVD sales indefinitely

Remember Real Networks, the guys behind that new DVD ripping software that has the MPAA pissed about? It turns out that the courts have sided with the MPAA and banned all sales of RealDVD until further notice.

Judge Maralyn Hall Patel (yeah the same lady behind Napster’s original court appearance) has halted the sales of the software until she finds out whether it circumvents the DMCA on the device.

Apparently this case is not only a matter concerning Real Networks but also the way people store and use the media they have purchased.
