Dell has quite a few billions behind it (ok that is an understatement) but that does not mean that they have what it takes to rival the iPod right? Think again! Thanks to Dell’s new system (which will be something more than a PlayForSure player) they are hoping to unseat Apple as the dominant player in the digital music field.

Not only will they be releasing their own player (next year) they are also bringing on some interesting people on board including an ex Apple exec to help with the iPod invasion.

Wish them luck (that is if you’re not an Apple fanboy).
