For people who like nice Japanese lacquer ware will probably like this wine holder from Yamakyu Urushi’s Kasane line. It is made of wood and lacquer and can balance the bottle perfectly on the table.

But I think this is another one of those designs that forgot about functionalities, since a bottle of wine is supposed to lay slightly inclined, but with the head up, that’s because the deposits must lay on the bottom.
