After an abandoned start up in 2006, Reed Hastings CEO of Netflix is ready to roll out a set-top box. As well as also announcing that Blu-ray disc, rental prices from the company will be increased shortly from the rent by mail movie house.

The company will be using LG Electronics to produce the set-top boxes. In addition, there will be three partners that are already actively working on integration of the box technology to work in conjunction with their own products.

There will also be an additional smaller company as part of the group.
This is the latest in a continuous stream of attempts to activate online connectivity that does not involve a PC, it is assumed that on this occasion it will include HD download capability, and that may have been the reason for the two years delay.
