Window’s 7 has gotten an official name and if you guessed “Window’s 7″ then you’re right. According to Mike Nash (from the official Vista blog) they (Microsoft) thought it better to give it the logical name of “7″ because “it just makes sense.” He also goes on to note that giving it any other name would not keep true to the mission of staying firmly rooted in “WIndow’s Vista.”
Before you go cyber squatting windowsstrata .com or its variants (although you’d probably be too late) just finish this article. Remember the PDC (Professional Developers Conference) that is happening this month. Well it seems like Microsoft made a little mistake by “revealing” the actual name of the next Window’s OS. The website first read Windows Strata which was quickly pulled down and replaced with “Window’s 7.”

If you own a Xbox 360 (and actually play it) you’ve probably been wondering when you’ll get your totally new and awesome tricked out dashboard. Well Microsoft had originally said it would come in November and so far they are keeping their words by confirming the actual date in November.
Lets see how we can put this in the best possible way. Microsoft has just confirmed that it will be extending the life of Vista for another 6 months. Well other than the fact that customers actually hate the latest incarnation of Window’s (although I totally love it) I guess there is not many other reasons. Although I am sure that the netbook manufacturers are extremely happy that they will not have to bump up the specs of their netbooks to run the bloated Vista on it.

Recent fillings with the US patent office would suggest that Apple is indeed working on a device that would directly compete with the Window’s Tablet PC division. While Tablet PC have not been the huge success Microsoft was expecting them to be (due mainly impart to the fact that Windows XP and Vista carries limited touch interaction), it has steadily gained market share and many designers and graphic artists are picking them up for home and office use.
For those of you who are still pissed about the update of Window’s in 2007 that you never authorized than you might want to listen up. According to Microsoft another one is heading your way. Here is what they have to say:
Its been nearly a year and a half since Vista first made its debut and thanks to a bunch of bad press from the Mac loving tech world its been off to a rocky start. Microsoft has learned from its mistakes and has taken a different approach to Window’s 7 (codename Vienna).
Microsoft has been having a few minor problems lately (mostly from bad press) but this one does not speak of the media but actual viewers or in this case surfers. Microsoft’s traffic fell 700K in July while Google was up a full million. Yahoo also saw increase in traffic adding 4 million viewers (who said they were not doing business).
